Sendbird, a Y Combinator alumnus (W16), builds the most scalable and powerful chat API in the world. Sendbird customers from over 150 countries around the world serve a truly wide range of use cases across communities, marketplaces, on-demand services, games, and e-commerce. In 2021, the company raised $100M in Series C funding. In total, Sendbird raised over $220M from leading investors like ICONIQ Capital, Tiger Global Management, STEADFAST Venture Capital, and SoftBank Vision Fund.

I joined Sendbird in April 2018 as employee #34 with the title of Business Development Strategist, just after raising Series A. Since then, the number of employees increased to 300+, with the company revenue growing from $4M to around $40M. Now over 200 million users send over 2.5 billion messages on the Sendbird platform every month across the globe, being the largest white-label chat platform on the market.

At Sendbird, I was fortunate enough to receive an opportunity to work as a UX Researcher and also set up the Research team from zero.
